NEUE HEIMAT was a No Wave band from Mannheim, West Germany, active between 1979 and 1981. (There was another band with the same name that formed later and had nothing to do with this No-Wave band) NEUE HEIMAT had about 10-12 gigs in the Mannheim/Frankfurt area. Unfortunately, no images are available. The group split up in 1981, some formed the somewhat better-known post-punk-noise trio CHOR DER GEFANGENEN, which released a cassette and a split LP with the NÜTZLICHE  IDIOTEN. Here is a compilation of some very rare audio documents from NEUE HEIMAT, partly recorded live or on cassette in rehearsal rooms. Neue Heimat, nach den Sucks die 2. Band, die sich in Mannheim unter Einfluß von Punk und New-Wave gründete. Insgesamt ca.10 Konzerte in Mannheim, Frankfurt, Heidelberg und Umgebung. Die rare Aufnahme stammt aus einem Konzert im Jugendzentrum Ladenburg mit einem Mono-Casettenrecorder.
